Ultimate Sound Bank introduced “Charlie,” an all-organvirtual instrument designed to bring the sounds of the classic electricorgans to the composer’s desktop. Powered by USB’saward-winning UVI-Engine, Charlie’s 3 GB sample library deliversauthentic organ sounds as well as CPU efficiency. Charlie will bedistributed in North America by ILIO Entertainments and was unveiled atWinter NAMM 2004.

Charlie’s 3 GB of samples were recorded using premium gear ata world-class studio. All of the samples are available with and withouta rotating speaker effect, allowing the user flexibility without theneed for a sampler. Hundreds of drawbar combinations are provided alongwith real-time crossfade control between presets and speaker effects.Charlie offers extended parameters, including percussion, classic synthcontrols and reverb, to allow each preset to be adapted to anyuser’s individual needs. The product’s fullMachFive-compatibility provides users of MOTU’s virtual samplerwith direct access to the library. All user-edited parameters can besaved with each project, for creativity and efficiency.

Charlie retails for $299, and is available for the PC (VSTi), MAC OS9 (MAS, RTAS and VST) and MAC OS X (MAS, RTAS, Audio Units andVST).
