Primera Technology Bravo II

Primera Technology’s Bravo II is designed for hands-free, automated production of up to 25 CDs or DVDs per job

Primera Technology’s Bravo II is designed for hands-free,automated production of up to 25 CDs or DVDs per job (50 discs withkiosk mode). An advanced robotic mechanism transports discs into thebuilt-in 52x CD-R recorder or optional Pioneer combo DVD-R/CD-Rrecorder (records DVD-Rs at 8x and CD-Rs at 24x). After recording, discs are transported to the integrated printer and printed in fullcolor directly onto the surface of the disc.

Bravo II increases the print resolution from 2,400 to 4,800 dpi, andincorporates AccuDisc, a patent-pending suite of hardware and firmwareenhancements that provides the accurate and precise disc picking on themarket. Utilizing advanced LED optics instead of mechanical components,AccuDisc eliminates misalignment of the picking mechanism and preventsthe feeding of double discs into the recordable drive.

Bravo II uses a single high-speed USB 2.0 cable to connect to theuser’s PC or Mac computer. Previously, the Bravo Disc Publisherrequired two cables: a USB 1.1 cable for printing and robotic controland a FireWire cable for the data interface. USB 2.0, with a datatransfer rate of 480 Mb/s, is 20 percent faster than the FireWireinterface. Bravo II has increased its disc production rate by 10percent due to a faster picking mechanism, increased robotic speed and15-percent faster printing speed.

“With Bravo II, our customers will enjoy incredible 4,800 dpi printresolution, a self-configuring interface with USB 2.0 and theindustry’s best reliability with our exclusive, patent-pending AccuDiscTechnology,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera Technology’s VP of sales andmarketing. “Bravo II is ideal for the duplication of video, softwareand music, as well as mission-critical applications such as medicalimaging, digital photo processing, kiosks and service bureaus. You caneven connect a Bravo II to your office network for enterprise-wide discpublishing.”
