Washington, D.C. (May 4, 2015)—Sound pros have heard Frank Serafine’s work throughout the years in films like Tron: Legacy, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and The Hunt for Red October, but now they have the chance to hear from the man himself on his Sound Advice tour. The 33-city educational tour, which runs through July 2, 2015 finds him sharing his secrets for sound recording, editing, effects, mixing, design and inspiration across the country.
During the interactive workshop, Serafine aims to instill both technique and theory to educate attendees on the many aspects needed to make sound cohesive with the project at hand. The tour features a daytime interactive workshop from 9 am-7:30 pm. Geared towards professional and emerging filmmakers, this workshop is intended for sound editors and designers of all stripes. Topics covered include Sound Recording, Sound Editing, Sound Effects, the Soundtrack, Sound Mixing, Sound Design, and the day closes out with Sound Inspiration.
