AKG Supports Austria’s Life Ball 2007 Charity Event

Life Ball 2007 was Austria’s biggest charity event in the fight against HIV and AIDS to date this year. Celebrating its 15-year anniversary on May 26, 2007, the Life Ball began with a large opening ceremony in the square outside of Vienna’s City Hall. A crowd of more than 40,000 people gathered in the square and millions more watched on television.

The Life Ball organization used the AKG WMS 4000 wireless microphone system with vocal, stage and orchestra options. Also onstage was the new AKG D5 vocal microphone. Young Austrian star Eric Papilaya—the official singer of the Life Ball 2007 song “Get a Life, Get Alive”—used an AKG WMS 4000 wireless mic during the opening ceremony.
