TC Electronic debuts VPD1, an all-analog Vintage Pre Drive pedal designed to produce vintage tube style guitar tones. The VPD1 features a drive section and an additional boost section with a resonance filter that allows for emphasizing treble or mid frequencies when the boost is activated. VPD1 is expected to ship in June 2005, for EUR $275.
VPD1 is intended to be an excellent companion for the new G-System from TC Electronic: The basic drive section delivers a distinguished vintage overdrive. VPD1 features Drive, Level, Tone and Boost knobs, as well as individual on and boost footswitches. Also included are the Top and Mid boost emphasis filters.
