At NSCA, TC Electronic announced a new software version for itsReverb 4000 and the Mac-compatible version of the TC ICON editorprogram used to control it. Version 1.10 and Mac ICON editor will beavailable as free downloads in April at www.tcelectronic.com.

Based on user requests, the Reverb 4000 software update includesemulations of 20 presets from TC Electronic M5000, including “GoldPlate,” “M5000 Hall” and “GM Hall.” While the preset names remain thesame, the sample rate has been increased to 96 kHz. The presets arealso integrated with Reverb 4000’s advanced search engine. Reverb4000’s feature set includes instant front panel access for liveuse, 44.1 to 96kHz sample rates and 24-bit processing, 24-bit AES/EBU,Toslink, S/PDIF, ADAT and analog inputs and outputs, and the ability toconnect via USB to a Mac or PC.

TC Icon software, which ships with Reverb 4000, allows for controlof the unit directly through the USB port of a Mac- or Windows-basedcomputer. The Mac OS X (Panther and Jaguar) version of the TC ICONsoftware editor makes it easy to operate Reverb 4000 from a digitalaudio workstation.
