Tech Partners Announced for 13th Annual Mix Sound for Film & TV Event

First-time sponsor Google joins founding sponsors Avid, Focusrite, Sony, Meyer Sound and others to bring talent and technology to the world-class facilities of Sony Pictures Studios.

Culver City, Calif. (September 1, 2026)—The first round of technology sponsors has been announced for the 13th annual Mix Presents Sound for Film & Television, led by a first-time supporter, Google Audio, as well as longtime partners Avid, Meyer Sound, ASG, Focusrite, Sony and many others in the all-day event to be held at the world-class post-production facilities of Host Partner Sony Pictures Studios, Culver City, Calif., on September 26, 2026.

They will be joined by Other World Computing, Pro Sound Effects and Sound Particles, as well as Studio Sponsors Dreamworks and NBCUniversal Studio Post, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

At presstime, technology sponsors for Mix Presents Sound for Film & Television include:

Google’s Eclipsa Audio team, along with partner Samsung, will set up a consumer-type immersive playback system and talk about “Cinematic Immersive Sound at Home,” where they will be streaming breathtaking spatial audio directly from YouTube, featuring the latest Samsung TV and soundbar.

Founding sponsor Avid, joined by Advanced Systems Group, will fill the Cary Grant Theater, home of the largest Avid S6 console in the world, with technology demonstrations and a series of expert panels featuring the sound teams from some of the biggest films and shows of the year.

  • Sony: Anthony Quinn Theater

The pro audio technology group within Sony will showcase its groundbreaking 360VME technology, 360 Reality Audio, and a range of reference headphones and software tools for sound post-production.

Focusrite will set up a full 7.1.4 ADAM Audio monitor system and host expert panels and moderated listening sessions throughout the day.

  • OWC: Other World Computing will showcase its custom workstation setups and host real-world presentations of production workflows from top sound supervisors and editors.
  • Meyer Sound: Known for precision, clarity and dynamic range, the latest in the company’s self-powered, advanced-DSP cinema line will be on display
  • Sound Particles: A supporter from Year 2, Sound Particles will show the most recent tools in its revolutionary 3D randomization tools
  • Pro Sound Effects: The creators of one of the world’s top sound effects libraries will also present an expert panel featuring leading sound designers in the William Holden Theater.

During the day, sponsors will take over the re-recording stages and editorial suites of Sony’s post-production facilities, offering hands-on technology demonstrations and expert panel presentations from some of the top sound designers, editors and re-recording mixers in the world.
