Interested in a career in music production? Join us for The Tracking Room Recording Camp to experience a complete Nashville recording and mixing session.Located in the heart of Music Row, TheTracking Room Recording Camp is a five-day program designed to give students ages 14 to 18 real-world experience in a professional recording studio setting. The recording camp will take students on the song creation journey, beginning with the idea all the way through final mixdown.This five-day experi- ence will include hands-on instruction and a day-long recording session with professional Nashville musicians.
THE EXPERIENCE
The Tracking Room Recording Camp will begin each day at 9am and will end at 7pm. Breakfast and lunch, along with evening snacks will be provided daily. Each student will also receive a Tracking Room t-shirt, notepad, and pen.While at camp, students will learn:
- The Tracking Room and Music Row background and history
- General recording studio etiquette
- Recording session set-up and preparation
- Recording techniques
- Chart construction using the Nashville Number System
- Tracking and overdubs
- Session editing, vocal tuning, and mix preparation
- Mixing
