German manufacturer beyerdynamic now offers a limited edition anniversary model of the classic M 88 TG dynamic microphone, marking two important milestones in beyer’s history for 2012: the company’s 88th year and the 50th year of M 88 production.
The M 88 Limited Anniversary Edition sports a retro look based on the original design of the first models. The matte black shaft is fitted with a plug sleeve, the mic grille is made of shimmering, fine-meshed stainless steel and the microphone ring has a nostalgic feel thanks to an engraved beyerdynamic typeface that used to be common in the old days. The jubilee edition comes in a sophisticated black case with imprint, complete with microphone clamp and bag.
