Zaarour, Lebanon (March 9, 2020)—Set above the clouds in Lebanon’s Zaarour mountains, the nightclub complex that includes the Frozen Cherry bar and Dublin Room dance club attracts EDM fans from all over the world. The location affords visitors the opportunity to enjoy sweeping, majestic views while getting down. BlacklineX loudspeakers from Martin Audio provide the soundtrack.
The venue was founded by Nasri and Maher Choueiry, owners of several food and beverage outlets, who draw on their background in architecture and engineering. They are supported by Elie Zouein, who has wide experience in business development.
This project was the venue’s first experience working with Technosound, Martin Audio’s Lebanese distributor. The partnership developed after Technosound’s Charbel Fahed met with Nasri Choueiry. “I proposed that they install a Martin Audio system,” Fahed said. “Since these are two of the most exciting venues in Lebanon, I had to choose a unique, powerful, and clear system. This is why I proposed the X15s after hearing them at ISE.”
Frozen Cherry’s sound reinforcement system needed to support the needs of live bands, DJs and background music, while the Dublin Room’s system would need to offer high power and clarity for DJs. Once they heard BlacklineX, it was quickly adopted in both Frozen Cherry and the Dublin Room. The former was equipped with Blackline X15 and two X118 subs and the latter with X15, X12, and four X118.
Design support was provided by Martin Audio product engineer Simon Purse, who was responsible for specifying both clubs.
