Harman’s Crown Audio in Elkhart, Indiana, announces that Phillip Scobee (pictured) has been appointed as Business Segment Manager, Tour Sound. In this role, Scobee will oversee Crown’s tour sound business strategy and direction including product development, marketing and sales. He will report to Marc Kellom, Senior Director of Engineering and Marketing for Crown.
Scobee holds a degree in Electrical-Electronics from Oklahoma State University.
Before joining Crown, Scobee worked at Electro-Voice as Product Manager, Concert and Commercial Sound. In this role he handled all elements of product development and support for the live sound market. He also previously held the position of Director of Operations for Morris Leasing, a full-service design/build production company serving the audio, lighting and production markets. Additionally, Scobee has held multiple positions as a systems engineer and head audio engineer and contributed technical articles to various professional audio publications.
Commenting on Scobee’s appointment Kellom states, “Phillip brings a diverse professional background and unique perspective, having benefitted from his work as an audio engineer and manufacturer. Throughout his career he has demonstrated strong leadership and technical knowledge that make him an exceptional choice to lead our tour sound business.
