Academy Award–winning actor Kevin Spacey is hitting the road for a concert tour with Shure microphones and monitor systems to promote his upcoming biopic, Beyond the Sea. The film, also starring Kate Bosworth, John Goodman and Bob Hoskins, traces the tragic, heroic life of the late-teen singing idol, Bobby Darin.
Spacey and his backup singers will all be using Shure PSM 700 monitor systems, and the backing vocalists will sing with Beta 87C microphones. In addition, the band will use six KSM32 microphones for horns and three KSM137 microphones for piano and hi-hats. “It’s a fantastic system,” said Spacey, “and it’s great to be able to be heard.”
