AKG Acoustics introduced three new German-made K & M microphonestands. The three new stands, model numbers KM256/80, KM260/80 andKM260/85, feature one-hand, soft-touch grip releases that are designedfor quick and easy height adjustment.
The new KM256/80 ($108, pictured) microphone stand has a tripod basethat folds up for maximum stability and ease of transport. This basedesign is often used with a boom for onstage instrument miking. Itfeatures a height range of 37.4 to 60.2 inches and weighs 4.7pounds.
AKG’s KM260/80 ($99) microphone stand has a heavy, roundcast-iron base designed for stability. Intended for vocalists andinstrument applications, this base has a compact, space-saving designfor stage use. It features a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches andweighs 14.7 pounds.
The KM260/85 ($86) microphone stand has a lightweight, round basedesigned to save space onstage during performances. The compact basedesign is intended for onstage vocals, and has a height range of 36.2to 59.1 inches and weighs 8.8 pounds.
