Shure ConferenceONE Discussion Systems

Shure is now shipping its ConferenceONE Discussion Systems, a new line that combines microphones, automatic mixing and loudspeakers into an easy-to-set-up

Shure is now shipping its ConferenceONE Discussion Systems, a new line that combines microphones, automatic mixing and loudspeakers into an easy-to-set-up and easy-to-use P.A. system, and is designed specifically for rental systems providers and sound contractors who need a turnkey solution for small- to medium-sized meeting rooms.

Combining industry-standard microphones with intelligent circuitry, ConferenceONE Discussion Systems use Shure’s proprietary IntelliMix® automatic mixing circuitry with the company’s high-quality Microflex® gooseneck mics. The systems are quickly set up in a daisy-chain configuration and are easy to operate in either automatic or push-to-talk modes.

Components for ConferenceONE with IntelliMix include a C1-Ci chairman unit, an expandable base of C1-Di delegate units (up to 60) and a C1-PS 60i power supply. All units are equipped with a push-to-talk button, an individual loudspeaker and adjustable earphone jack, while the chairman unit offers additional control of the delegate units. The systems also offer a telephone/CODEC interface and a linking port to facilitate use with external Shure SCM automatic mixers for additional wired or wireless microphones.

A ConferenceONE Standard System is also available for push-to-talk-only applications that don’t require more than 30 delegate units. The Standard system components include a C1-Cs chairman unit, a C1-Ds delegate console and a C1-PS 30s power supply.

“A quick and high-performing install is always at the top of every rental house and contractor’s list,” said Bob Rieder, Shure’s category director of audio processing products. “ConferenceONE draws on Shure’s nearly 30 years of experience in creating conferencing products to accomplish that one goal.”
