Ascent Media Group (AMG) has named Steven Tollen (pictured) as managing director of its Sound One post-production facility for feature films in New York City. Tollen will oversee day-to-day activities.
Robert C. Rosenthal, chief operating officer of Ascent Media Creative Sound Services, noted that Tollen’s expertise in marketing, production and post-production will be of particular value as Sound One works to reinforce its strong position in the market. “Steven has exceptional leadership skills and will champion an environment at Sound One that will help it to retain its position as the top post-production destination for filmmakers in New York,” Rosenthal said. “We are delighted to have him join the Ascent Media Group team.”

Tollen previously served as managing partner of “in the box,” a New York–based brand strategy and marketing consulting firm, where he managed production and post-production. A New York native, he has broad experience in the entertainment and advertising industries, including senior posts with Grey Advertising and Wells, Rich, Green.
