JBL Professional announced that it has appointed industry veteran Blair McNair (pictured) to the position of Installed Sound Field Engineer. McNair brings to JBL an extensive background spanning 28 years in all aspects of installed sound.
McNair has been involved in sound system installation, design, consulting and evaluation for high-performance audio in houses of worship, U.S. Navy warships, performing arts centers, athletic venues, museums and even underwater sound systems. Additionally, as the chairman of the TEF Advisory Committee for several years, he has been involved in the measurement, adjustment, evaluation and certification of audio systems.
McNair has spoken at trade events both domestically and abroad. He is a practicing mix engineer for music and speech-driven events.
