Slovenia (November 2, 2026)—Audiophile brand Ollo Audio has updated its mixing engineer headphones with the introduction of the X2, a handmade, open-back studio reference model.

Building on the brand’s original X1 headphones, the X2 updates the offerings with a new beryllium-coated driver, a new USC calibration plug-in and reportedly improved build quality throughout.

The new headphones center around a 50 mm dynamic driver with a beryllium-coated membrane—a stiffer material than what was used on the previous model, so the driver is expected to respond faster and more precisely.

In terms of calibration, every X2 is measured individually, and users receive calibration data for their headphones. That data can be used with the included USC plug-in or with third-party correction plug-ins.

Recogizing that headphones are tools, and tools can be subject to wear and tear, every component of the X2 is available as a spare part: headband, ear pads, cable, drivers and even the walnut body. Nothing is glued shut, and repairs can be done at home.

The headphones are expected to ship December 7, and can be pre-ordered in the meantime, running $629 US.
