EastWest Sounds user Alex Lacamoire wins Tony Award for Best Orchestration on Hamilton

Hollywood, CA – EastWest Sounds, the world’s #1 developer of virtual instruments, congratulates Alex Lacamoire on his latest Tony Award for “Best Orchestration” for his work on the hit Broadway musical Hamilton. Lacamoire has made extensive use of EastWest Sounds’ orchestral libraries throughout his award-winning career.

Currently the Music Director, Orchestrator, and Conductor of Hamilton, Lacamoire adds this Tony Award to his recent Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the show. He also has won past Tony and Grammy Awards for his orchestrations and musical theater album for the Broadway Production of In the Heights.

“Inspiration hits you the moment that you begin to look through the EastWest library”, said Lacamoire. “Every sample has a polish to its production that makes it evident how much thought and care has gone into its creation.  This crew knows how to set the bar high.”

EastWest’s orchestral libraries are widely regarded as the most detailed and comprehensive in the market. Centered on the company’s flagship products Hollywood Strings, Hollywood Brass, Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds and Hollywood Orchestral Percussion, the Hollywood Orchestral Series also includes the newly released Hollywood Harp, Hollywood Solo Cello, and Hollywood Solo Violin. The series was produced by award-winning team comprised of Doug Rogers, Nick Phoenix, Thomas Bergersen, and recorded by engineer Shawn Murphy (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) at EastWest Studios, the same studio where many notable Hollywood soundtracks and famed television themes were recorded, including the Mission Impossible theme and the scores for The Godfather films.

EastWest Sounds’ entire catalog is now available through ComposerCloud, the first subscriptions service for composers, musicians, and songwriters, starting at only $29.99 per month.
