Mikey Jukebox, former frontman/songwriter of The Mercies, is mixing his debut album at the renowned Ardent Studios in Memphis with engineer John Hampton and assistant Adam Hill. For the new album, “Hello Dreamer,” Jukebox plays all primary instruments to create his distinctive blend of 50s Rock, 60s R&B, and 70s Power-Pop/Glam, all updated in a New Millennium concoction.

From Rochester, New York, Mikey Jukebox has toured worldwide for post-punksters Longwave, for whom he wrote key songs. He’s also launched a series of groups he’s fronted as guitarist and singer, going back to his first EP with The Blood nearly a decade ago, and another after his Longwave days with The Footage in 2005. These early forays culminated in his punkish power-pop group The Mercies.

Mikey Jukebox, with guitarist Adam Ford and bass player Brandon Lown, will be touring this summer in support of the new album, due out in August on the Young Lion of the West Recording Company label.
