RBDG Nominated by the TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio in the Category of Outstanding Creative Achievement, Studio Design Project

DALLAS, TX, NOVEMBER 21, 2011 — Acoustical/architectural design and consulting firm Russ Berger Design Group (RBDG) has been nominated for a 2012 Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award by the TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio. The nomination is for RBDG’s design of Blade Studios (www.bladestudios.com) in the category of Outstanding Creative Achievement, Studio Design Project (Architect/Studio Designer; Acoustician).

Blade Studios is a full-service record and film production company formed by drummer/producer Brady Blade Jr., chief engineer/mixer Chris Bell, and media developer Scott Crompton. Located in Shreveport, LA, the new 8,000-square-foot facility features Studio A, a 1,100-square-foot tracking room and control room suite with lounge, kitchen and VIP areas. Studio B can accommodate mixing, ADR work and post production for music and the area’s growing film industry.

“The true reward I receive from a project like Blade Studios,” said Russ Berger, “is the honor of working side by side with dedicated professionals like Brady, Scott and Chris to help them realize their vision, to enable their commitment to making quality music, and to create something that we can all be proud of.”

Since the inception of the TEC Award, Russ Berger’s designs have been recognized with more than 20 nominations and eight TEC awards in the category of Outstanding Institutional Achievement for Acoustics/Facility Design. The 27th annual TEC Awards will be held January 20 at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.
