iLive Goes to the Goetheanum

The Goetheanum, the global headquarters for the Anthroposophical Movement, recently upgraded the audio system in its main auditorium with an Allen & Heath iLive digital mixing system.

Dornach, Switzerland (September 18, 2012)—The Goetheanum, the global headquarters for the Anthroposophical Movement, recently upgraded the audio system in its main auditorium with an Allen & Heath iLive digital mixing system.

The iLive system is comprised of two iDR-32 MixRacks configured in DualRack mode with an iLive-T80 Surface in the control room, and is installed in the main, 1,000-seat auditorium. A smaller iDR-16 MixRack was purchased as a portable system to use with a PL-10 remote controller in the venue’s smaller lecture and conference theaters or to add to the network for additional I/O duties in the main auditorium.

Located in Dornach, near Basel, the Goetheanum was designed by Rudolf Steiner and dedicated to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who founded the philosophy of anthroposophy. The building hosts performances by its in-house artistic community, including eurythmy dance troupes, as well as visiting performers from around the world. There are also conferences focusing on themes of general interest several times a year, as well as specialist conferences for teachers, farmers, doctors, therapists, and other professions held regularly.
