Pop rockers Matchbox Twenty’s concert DVD, SHOW—A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty, showcases SRS Labs’ Circle Surround 5.1 technology. With Circle Surround, audio professionals can produce 5.1 channels of music and video content for distribution or storage over a standard 2-channel medium.
With 20 songs, the double-DVD was shot in state-of-the-art, high-definition video with 19 cameras. In addition to the standard Dolby Digital track, SHOW will offer a Circle Surround 5.1 audio mix on the second track that is usually a stereo or 4-channel surround mix.
According to James “Jimbo” Barton, the band’s engineer, “Circle Surround should be an accessory on every CD or stereo track on a DVD. It allows me to create a 5.1 mix that anyone can enjoy. I love it!”
