Shure announced the availability its PGX Performance Gear Wireless systems, which made its worldwide debut at the Music Industry Association of Canada (MIAC) trade show in Toronto. There are eight PGX Wireless system configurations available, equally divided between handheld and bodypack systems.
The handheld vocal microphone versions offer the following microphone options: the PG58, SM58 and Beta 58 dynamic mics, or the SM86 condenser. Bodypack systems include the Guitar System (for guitar and bass), Lavalier Vocal System (with SM93 microphone), Instrumentalist System (with Beta 98 horn mic) and Headworn Vocal System (with WH20 mic). Both the PGX1 bodypack and PGX2 handheld transmitters get eight hours of continuous operation from two AA batteries.
PGX Wireless systems are now shipping; the SM58 handheld system will be available for $399.
