Toronto sound company BCB Pro Audio has taken delivery of a Midas Heritage 4000. BCB owner Cam Butler reported, “The Heritage 4000 offers us the ideal balance of large-format flexibility and renowned Midas performance, sound and build quality. The monitoring demands of large productions has grown, and Midas stepped up to the plate with a console specially designed to accommodate the most elaborate in-ear stage mixes with all the warmth, responsiveness and rider-friendly reliability that engineers expect from Midas.
“Though it’s a large board,” he continued, “its footprint is smaller than two monitor consoles bused together, which is something you see more and more of these days. In this sense, the 4000 is an application-specific solution, and that’s why it’s always working. Since taking delivery in June, our 4000 has spent a lot of time at the Molson Amphitheatre running monitors for the biggest and best shows that come to Toronto, including big names like Blue Rodeo. It’s also been really busy as a cross-rental. Everybody who works with the 4000 loves it because, although the feature set is amazing, at the end of the day, it sounds and feels like a Midas.”
