Detroit garage-rock duo the White Stripes have finished their much-anticipated fifth album, Get Behind Me Satan, mixed at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tenn.
Guitarist/vocalist Jack White and drummer Meg White reportedly worked at a frenzied pace at White’s Detroit home studio and then mixed the album with John Hampton at Ardent Studios. White visited Ardent previously to mix an album for The Raconteurs, liked the results he got with Hampton and decided to return to mix the White Stripes’ latest. The album hits stores June 7, 2005.
