Beginning next month, the Library of Congress’ Copyright Office will offer an e-filing option to file 2002 cable and satellite royalty claims in addition to mail delivery.

Cable and satellite forms, including instructions for filing the claim electronically, will soon be available on the Copyright Office’s Website. Claims filed online must be received by the office’s server no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on July 31, 2003; claimants using this filing option must provide an e-mail address. However, the claim does not need to include the signature of the claimant or of the claimant’s duly authorized representative. This requirement has been waived for the electronic filings, but only for this filing period.
