Los Angeles, CA (January 27, 2011)–Original music production and music licensing company MusicBox has announced a distribution deal for the Epic catalog from composer Russ Landau.

A music catalog designed to aurally illustrate action, competition and drama, Landau’s Epic library of 1,500-plus tracks crosses all genres and is now available to all media through exclusive distribution with MusicBox. Landau is a composer known for his work on reality TV series and other programming. Among the titles of the Epic CD collection are Adventure of a Lifetime, Winner’s Reward, The Good Life, Cliffhangers, The Hero Emerges, Judgment Day, Tense Testimony, Waiting for Fate and Eliminated.

According to Joel Goodman, MusicBox founder, “The Epic collection features all the music we are used to hearing on Russ’ award-winning–and culturally groundbreaking–competition and reality television shows, including Survivor and Fear Factor. The energy and excitement of the music from Epic adds the perfect finish to any production, while the beauty of these selections make them accessible to convey all moods and emotions.”

Landau, composer of the ubiquitous theme from the CBS TV series Survivor, had his first weekly episodic series and Emmy Award nomination for his theme to the mid-90’s series SeaQuest DSV. He’s continued with a steady run of additional compositional work, including the themes to Fear Factor, Average Joe, Dog Eat Dog, and many other reality television series. He is the recipient of six ASCAP Primetime Television Awards, an Emmy Award, and several additional Emmy Award nominations.
