Rupert Neve Designs Marks 10 Years

To mark 10 years in business, Rupert Neve Designs is offering clients and fans an opportunity to win free equipment.

Wimberley, TX (July 23, 2015)—To mark 10 years in business, Rupert Neve Designs is offering clients and fans an opportunity to win free equipment.

To commemorate its tenth year in business, the company is running a contest this month through social media channels using the hashtag “#ilovemyRupertNeve”. Prizes consist of an RNDI Active Transformer Direct Interface, a 511 500-Series Mic Preamp with Silk, and the flagship Portico II Channel strip.

Recalling the genesis of the company, Mr. Neve says, “I’ve been a designer my whole life—and after my consultancy with Amek ended, I was looking for an outlet to keep creating. Around this time, I was talking to a former colleague, Josh Thomas, and we came to the idea that we could found a new company to design and build these new creations from my new home in Texas.”

Josh Thomas, company co-founder and general manager, adds, “From our humble beginnings with a single two-channel mic pre, we have been able to grow the range quite a bit, providing the quality and sonic benefits for which Mr. Neve’s designs have been known for 40 years. In the last 10 years, we have matured greatly. We’ve grown from a handful of people working together in a spare room at Rupert’s house, to our own facilities with a full R&D team and production staff.”

“My proudest moment from Rupert Neve Designs was the first time Rupert and I powered on the 5088 mixer and listened to a full mix through it. At that instant, I knew we had achieved something truly special.“
