Symetrix has added to its SymNet line with the new Express Series ofDSP devices, which will be shown at NSCA booth #1424. Available in twoversions, Express hardware will target stand-alone applications withthree new models and CobraNet-capable applications with four more.
Standard Express hardware is intended for use in stand-aloneapplications where a single DSP suffices. Models include a 12×4 formultiple microphones or sources, a 4×12 for paging or speakerprocessing, and an 8×8 for more complex input and output routing.
All Express Cobra models include an 8-channel CobraNet license andare otherwise identical to the standard Express hardware. Express Cobraprovides interconnectivity with compatible hardware from Symetrix andother vendors. I/O configurations in the Express Cobra series include12x4, 4×12, 8×8 and 4×4.
Each Express unit is individually addressable over Ethernet. Theonboard SHARC processors support the same set of functions andprocesses as found on the SymNet Audio Matrix Series.
