Biamp Systems has appointed Jim Nelson to the position of outsourcing and OEM manager. Nelson will report to Bob Yeager, manufacturing and facilities manager, and will be responsible for overseeing contracted manufacturers as well as many of Biamp’s subcomponents manufactured by OEMs.
Nelson was previously employed with Cascade Microtech Inc. as a contracted manufacturing engineer. Prior to that position, Nelson was a project manager with the Corbond Corporation, where he oversaw the design and construction of a polyurethane manufacturing facility. Nelson has also held positions with Asahi Glass Pacific Rundum, Ash Grove Cement Company and Oremet.
