Disc Makers Offers Seminar on Releasing CD in Time for Holidays

Disc Makers announces a new seminar entitled “Releasing Your CD in Time for the Holidays,” which will take place on Tuesday, October 16 and again on Wednesday, October 24, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., in Nashville, Tenn. at The Long Shot, 1524 Demonbreun St. The seminar is open to all musicians and recording professionals.

Topics include choosing your packaging to make a statement, preparing an error-free master, advice on artwork, marketing and distribution, and other important subjects for finishing or fast-tracking a CD project that will make it out before the holiday season.

“Since we began bringing these instructional seminars to our storefront locations and other cities across the U.S., the response from our customers and the local artist community has been overwhelming,” explains Tony van Veen, president of Disc Makers. “Making a CD can be a complex, somewhat intimidating experience if you’ve never done it before, especially if you are trying to rush your project to have it done before the holidays—which many artists try to do for their fans, friends and family members. We’re happy to share our design, printing, mastering and manufacturing expertise to help artists complete their projects quickly, and without unpleasant surprises or delays.”

Disc Makers developed its seminar series to properly educate musicians on the most efficient and effective ways to execute CD projects. The events allow participants to meet and greet Disc Makers staff and learn from the pros. The last round of seminars attracted more than 500 musicians across eight locations.

Musicians, artists and bands are asked to RSVP by Friday, October 12,  and can reserve a seat by visiting www.discmakers.com/request/seminar-nashville.asp. This page also lists the phone number for the venue, directions, and more detailed information on the speakers and topics.
