British-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Karen Elson has recorded tracks at United Recording for her forthcoming sophomore album. Producer Jonathan Wilson helms the project with recording engineer Bryce Gonzales and featured musician Pat Sansone (Wilco, The Autumn Defense).

In 2010, Elson released her critically lauded debut solo album on Third Man Records/XL Recordings, The Ghost Who Walks, produced by Jack White; the title track of which she performed with her band on the Late Show with David Letterman. Recognized internationally for her modeling work in campaigns for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Channel, Alexander McQueen, Dior and Gucci, Elson is a founding member and performer with the New York City-based political cabaret troupe The Citizens Band and an ambassador for Save The Children. Her music has been featured in multiple television shows and movies, including “Still Alice”, “True Blood”, “Fringe” and “Boardwalk Empire.” She has been featured on recordings with T Bone Burnett, Cat Power, The Secret Sisters, Jack White and Wanda Jackson.

Producer Jonathan Wilson currently maintains his recording studio, Fivestar Studios, in Echo Park, Los Angeles, which he relocated from its original location in Laurel Canyon in 2009. The space is renowned for its sound and breadth of analog recording equipment. Recent producer credits include Father John Misty, Conor Oberst and Dawes. Wilson has also released two critically acclaimed solo albums, Fanfare (Bella Union/Downtown) and Gentle Spirit (Bella Union).
