Gilbert, Ariz., Nov. 19, 2019 – The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences (CRAS; www.cras.edu), the leading institution for audio engineering education, is proud to announce it will host representatives from legendary pro audio console manufacturer Solid State Logic the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 7:30pm – 10:00pm at the school’s Gilbert, Ariz. campus (1205 North Fiesta Blvd.; Gilbert, AZ 85233).
The event is open to the public.
“SSL’s Marc DeGeorge will present a brief history of Solid State Logic, from its origins, all the way up to the modern era and the current state of the company today,” said David Kohr, CRAS’ Audio Engineering Society (AES) faculty advisor. “Along the way, he will also discuss some of the technology that has made the company a success. In addition to the presentation, there will be AWS948s, SiX, Fusion and some of the I/O line of products available to demo and on display. Marc will be there to answer questions on any and all Solid State Logic products. This will be a great event for not only our students, but to anyone interested in the world of professional audio products and engineering.”

The 11-month program is designed to allow every student access to learn and train in all of the Conservatory’s studios which are comprised with state-of-the-art audio recording and mixing gear, the same equipment used in today’s finest studios and remote broadcast facilities, including Pro Tools 12, API Legacy consoles, SSL G+ and AWS consoles, Studer Vista consoles, and much more. All students must complete a 280-hour industry internship to graduate from the Master Recording Program II that may ultimately lead to industry employment.
