SAE Institute Chicago, a creative media college that offers both diploma and Associate Degree programs in Audio Technology and Music Business studies, is presenting open mic nights every Thursday evening at their North Orleans Street campus.  The free event is open to singers, DJs, rappers, comedians, poets, and performers from the Chicago area.

“Our open mic nights take place in our new 60-seat theater, and feature some of Chicago’s most exciting up-and-coming performers,” says SAE Institute Chicago Campus Director James Thomas, Campus Director of SAE Institute Chicago.  “The events are a great way for local performers to get valuable stage time in a fantastic venue where they can refine their craft and build awareness of – and a following for – their talents.  Our open mic nights also give students in our Audio Technology Program’s Live Sound Reinforcement course a chance to develop their skills as Front of House Engineers,  Stage Managers,  and Lighting Directors.”
