Plugin Alliance Teams Up with Unfiltered Audio

G8 Version 1.2 Dynamic Gate and Sandman Version 1.1 Delay Plug-Ins

Plugin Alliance announces that it will take over the worldwide distribution, marketing and support for products created by Unfiltered Audio, a music software firm based in Southern California. Unfiltered Audio’s products include the G8 Dynamic Gate and Sandman delay plug-ins.

“Unfiltered Audio is the perfect partner for us,” says Plugin Alliance CEO Matt Ward. “They’re a young and innovative company making great products, but who lack the resources to really get them out into the market. We are more than thrilled to share these remarkable plugins with the Alliance community.”

“We are extremely excited to be working with Plugin Alliance. With their resources and expertise, we can bring our award-winning plugins to an even higher level of quality,” says Michael Hetrick, co-founder of Unfiltered Audio. “Now we also can dedicate ourselves full-time to the creation of cutting-edge creative music tools. Our customers love our products, and we cannot wait to share them with a larger audience!”

Unfiltered Audio plugins, as all Plugin Alliance products, are provided in AAX native, VST and AU formats for Mac OS 10.7 or higher and Windows 7 or 8. All Plugin Alliance products are also available as fully functional 14-day demos from the Plugin Alliance Website.

Coinciding with its Plugin Alliance partnership, Unfiltered Audio has released two major updates: Sandman Version 1.1 and G8 Version 1.2. Both upgrades add AAX native and VST3 format support, a redesigned preset menu, touch automation in Apple Logic Pro, and other bug fixes and enhancements.

G8 V. 1.2 Dynamic Gate ($69 MSRP) adds native AU sidechains, a new Dark UI mode and improved waveform drawing. With a user interface designed for straightforward operation, G8 can perform polyrhythmic beat slicing, AM/granular synthesis, MIDI instrument triggering or fractal auto-panning and tremolo. With 4-channel output and complex routing within a DAW, G8 is said to be able to split the amplitude of a single source to route to different tracks.

Sandman V. 1.1 Delay ($49 MSRP) makes its Dry/Wet mix a lockable parameter and adds a Ping-Pong delay mode and a Kill switch. This plug-in starts with all the essentials of a host-synched delay; the Sleep button freezes and repeats audio based on the delay value. From there, synchable LFOs, a variable sample rate, loop reversal and other parameters are possible.
