SKAN PA Hire (Reading, England) supplied the touring system for TheDarkness’ Why Stop There? tour, including an L-Acousticsreinforcement system comprising 12 dV-DOSC, four SB218 and three dVsubs a side. Pedro Ferreira, the band’s front-of-house engineer,mixed on a Heritage 2000, while monitor engineer Andy Shillito reliedon an XL3 and used Turbosound TFM 450 wedges.
SKAN’s Scott Essen performed the dual roles of QVT andfront-of-house minder. Nick Stagg assisted Essen with the system andtook care of the equipment onstage. The band retained the controlelement of the system for use on their shows supporting Meat Loaf inEurope throughout November.
In December, they returned to the UK for their sold-out Elf Hazardtour and collected an enhanced dV-DOSC system from SKAN for the largervenues.
