Countryman Gets Cookin’

Slide guitarist and vocalist Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton relies heavily on his ISOMAX headset mic from Countryman Associates as he cooks gumbo while performing his mix of swampy Florida blues.

Tallahassee, FL (August 15, 2013)—Slide guitarist and vocalist Bill “Sauce Boss” Wharton relies heavily on his ISOMAX headset mic from Countryman Associates as he cooks gumbo while performing his mix of swampy Florida blues.

“I’m cookin’ and playin’ guitar and singin’ all at the same time. I need my hands free,” Wharton said. “As a performer, I’m all over the stage as well as going into the audience during these events, so the Countryman mic works really well for me.”

Wharton also volunteers his time and energy to Planet Gumbo, a 501c3 non-profit organization. “We bring a lot of enjoyment to needy people in homeless shelters and soup kitchens while helping them get a good meal. A soup kitchen or homeless shelter presents its own demands on a microphone, in terms of feedback and its ability to consistently sound good. I depend on the mic’s quality and its dynamic range. The combination of the Countryman ISOMAX Headset mic and my Shure UHF J4 wireless system provides the freedom to move around while delivering clear, natural sounding audio.”
