Elkhart, IN (January 19, 2011)–Harman Professional has named Mark Posgay as its sales director for the United States.

A 17-year sales leader with experience in professional audio, Posgay will be based out of Harman Professional’s Elkhart Sales & Support Center and will report to Scott Robbins, vice president of sales.

“Our moves to consolidate sales operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Potters Bar, United Kingdom have paid a strong dividend in terms of effectiveness and efficiency,” Robbins said. “Having Mark Posgay onboard to lead the Elkhart-based national sales team promises equally strong results from our new U.S. sales operation. Mark’s strong track record of sales success, coupled with his deep commitment to innovation and education, mean our customers can look forward to a more responsive, effective Harman. Our sales partners can expect strong leadership and effective toolsets and our operations and support teams will be aligned to support the new structure and our U.S. customers.”

Before joining Harman, Posgay held senior sales positions at Mars Music and more recently at Monster Cable. He has worked in the areas of management, sales, training and education to an end-user, retailer, distributor, manufacturer and educator client mix.

Commenting on his new position, Posgay noted, “I have tremendous respect for Harman Professional’s unique ability to consistently build, integrate and market so many successful, great-sounding products. I am similarly convinced that I can provide value to this great organization by helping to further organize, motivate and train our teams and our partners. I look forward to working with the brand teams, our reps and our divisional leaders to engineer successful programs that address our core markets and new verticals where the threshold for good sound systems continues to increase.”
