London, UK (September 23, 2026)—Apple has long been an integral part of the entertainment ecosystem, selling the computers, devices and software used to create it, and then providing multiple outlets to stream it in the form of Apple TV+ and Apple Music. Now the company will take part in where entertainment is created, too, when it opens its first permanent public venue—Apple Music Hall—in London on September 28.

Located inside the former Battersea Power Station alongside the River Thames—likely best known to U.S. audiences as “that building from the cover of Pink Floyd’s Animals”—the Apple Music Hall centers around its 600-capacity main room.

Designed to create an intimate experience for performers and audiences alike, the venue features a 38-foot-wide stage that can be set up in-the-round or in a typical theater-seating style. Able to accommodate productions in both formats is a 48-speaker spatial audio system that can provide spatial or traditional left-right audio.

Given that so many concerts around the world are captured with iPhones these days, it’s perhaps fitting that Apple Music Hall, too, is set up to visually record shows, as it is wired for accommodating more than 16 cameras—both standard broadcast and iPhone video capture-based, the company notes—that feed into a dedicated broadcast control room intended for livestreaming shows and other content creation.

Tackling the audio side of that production equation are a pair of recording and mix studios, allowing every performance to be multitracked and mixed in spatial audio, whether in the moment or at a later date.
Elsewhere in the Battersea Power Station facility are new studios dedicated to Apple Music Radio, the company’s free streamed radio service. All Apple Music Radio hosts and programs will now broadcast live from the new studios.
Inaugural programming for Apple Music Hall is yet to be announced, but the venue is building an email mailing list for future show and on-sale announcements at its website.
