Alcons Audio, Dutch manufacturer of the evolutionary Pro-Ribbon based loudspeaker systems, has recently hired independent firm Audio Video Associates (AVA), which covers Midwestern states and regions including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and southern Illinois. Headed up by Ben Shipman (pictured), AVA is a premier representative firm in its region that represents other well respected brands such as DiGiCo consoles.
Alcons Audio offers a variety of systems and covers a number of critical vertical markets including theater/PAC, house of worship, live production and the cinema market. The globally patented technologies behind the Alcons Audio loudspeaker systems achieve industry-leading specifications for low distortion, dynamic range, power handling and pattern control.
“We are thrilled to have AVA join our rep force,” says David Rahn, Alcons North American Sales Director. “They are a well-established firm with a deep history in the region. I have known the AVA team for some time and they are one of the best in the business. They excel at product demonstrations, and their customer base respects the work they do and the services they provide.
“We are fortunate to find ourselves in a great position these days. Having laid a good foundation of top-level dealers, and now with the consultant support growing and production market coming online, we are garnering interest from the best rep firms around the nation. It is truly a testimonial to the technology and product and the work we have done here in the U.S. to establish Alcons Audio as a leader in the high-end loudspeaker market.”
“We are really excited about this opportunity,” adds Shipman, principal of AVA. “It is very rare that a product or company comes along that, in a high end part of the market, can immediately establish itself at the top of that segment. The ProRibbon systems sound amazing and the exceptional power handling of the pro-ribbon driver means there’s a lot of upside for customers. We’ve already had a fantastic response from our clients and have some great projects in the pipeline.”
