DJs entertain at the Koola Club
KV2 Audio’s Andy Austin-Brown, and Phil Soltys and Dave Charman of PSD Electronics (Newquay, UK) met at the Koola Club—a club, bar and restaurant located in the Southern United Kingdom—to discuss the club’s new discrete audio system, which was installed in mid-June.
Given the club’s range of entertainment events, from dance to live performance, the system had to operate with minimum assistance. Charman explains, “Andy set up a simple system consisting of two KV2 ES1.0 mid/high packs, two ES2.5 subs and two ES1.8 subwoofers. All of this was driven and controlled by three KV2 EPAK2500 amplifier packs.” A straight feed from an Allen & Heath mixer was supplied, with absolutely no other signal processing or EQs.
