New York, NY (October 23, 2026)—The annual NAB New York convention returned to the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan this week for two days of exhibits, panels and more, as all corners of the broadcast industry converged to discover the latest and greatest advancements in the field.
While the event is often thought of as “an East Coast show,” NAB NY attracts an international crowd; this year’s edition drew attendees from 72 countries, 57 percent of which were first-time attendees—which was good news for the 250-plus exhibitors and sponsors.
The influx of visitors was not lost on exhibitors, as Gary Rosen, VP of Global Sales for Pliant noted, “It is significantly busier than last year; the booth has been non-stop all day.” Tracy Ye, North American Sales Manager for Hollyland, confirmed the show’s busy pace, laughing, “I haven’t had lunch yet and it’s 3 PM!”
Many of the show’s exhibitors also have a presence at the NAB Convention in Las Vegas every April, and some noted that New York gets a different kind of crowd. “In Las Vegas, we get more executives who want to know what’s happening,” said Ken Smalley from RTS Intercom Systems. “Here in New York, we get more end-users. The questions we get are more project-based and ‘Here’s what I have in mind—can your product help me do this and this and this?’”
