Non-Stop Music introduces Version 2 of its CUEgle search and download engine. The newest version of CUEgle.com helps TV/film music supervisors, advertising agency, corporate and other media professionals to search and license Non-Stop Music’s library of more than 950 CDs with more than 38,000 tracks.
V. 2 offers large images of the CD covers for each music library collection, marked by titles such as “Action Premier 1,” “Suspense 4,” “Tenor Sax Quartet—Bossa Nova,” that can be clicked on to reveal track title and length along with a brief description. Users can preview and download each MP3 or WAV file to their desktop, where the files can then be inserted into any project. If the user chooses to use the track, the usual blanket or needle-drop licenses apply.
Twenty-eight top-level categories from “Atmospheric Chillout” to “Country & Western” and “Kitsch Retro Lounge” are designed to speed up searches. Users can also use keywords to narrow or broaden music searches. In addition, Non-Stop’s expert music consultants are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to make suggestions regarding the Non-Stop library, which is comprised of original music composed, arranged and recorded at Non-Stop’s L.A. East soundstage in Salt Lake City.
The Projects section allows users to keep multiple music cues in project folders specifically designated for that project. To streamline the review and approval process, users and their clients can view each other’s project folders; it is no longer necessary to export and e-mail .xml files.
