Pollstar Concert Industry Awards for 2011

The 23rd annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards took place on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Comedian Chris Hardwick hosted the proceedings. The Pollstar Concert Industry Awards honor artists, management, talent buyers, venues, support services and more for their professionalism, achievements and abilities.

Each year, Pollstar canvasses music business professionals to make the nominations, and Pollstar revealed the nominating committee on the evening of the awards. Winners are determined by Pollstar readers, and this year, all voting was done entirely online.

Notable winners for the year 2011 include:

Sound Company of the Year: Clair

Staging or Equipment Company of the Year: All Access Staging & Productions (Torrance, Calif., and Newton, N.J.)

Transportation Company of the Year: Rock-It Cargo

Major Tour of the Year: Lady Gaga

Best New Touring Artist: Adele

Red Rocks Award for Small Outdoor Venue: Greek Theatre (Los Angeles)

Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue: Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles)

Arena of the Year: Madison Square Garden (New York City)

Theater of the Year: Ryman Auditorium (Nashville)

Nightclub of the Year: Bowery Ballroom (New York City)

Best New Major Concert Venue: Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater (Austin, Texas)

Major Music Festival of the Year (non-touring): Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (Indio, Calif.)

Music Festival of the Year (non-touring): The Hangout Music and Beach Festival (Gulf Shores, Ala.)
