QSC is now shipping five new three-way screen channel loudspeakers to its DCS Series, ranging from the compact SC-413 to the flagship SC-443.
Mid-high sections found in all five systems feature a horn-loaded midrange transducer topped by a titanium-diaphragm compression driver coupled with an adjustable pan-and-tilt bracket. With nominal coverage rated at 90° horizontal x +20° to -30° in the vertical plane, each is outfitted with its own driver protection network and a passive crossover for bi-amp use, and additionally facilitates high-frequency crossover points of up to 1,800 Hz to ensure that most dialog is reproduced by a single element for added intelligibility.
The low-frequency enclosures provided with each new three-way DCS screen channel system were designed to meet the needs of the extended LF response required in modern cinema applications. QSC’s close-coupled woofer (CCW) technology keeps coverage angles considerably wider over a greater frequency range than traditional devices employing widely spaced woofers.
The DCS family of three-way screen channel loudspeakers includes models SC-413, SC-323, SC-423, SC-433 and SC-443.
