Recording Academy Announces Grammy SoundTable at AES

The Recording Academy will present the 19th annual Grammy SoundTable at the 123rd AES convention at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City on Saturday, October 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Zoe Thrall, director of studio operations for the Studio at The Palms at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Titled “Good Times: The Enduring Legacy of New York’s Power Station Studios,” this special event will feature the Power Station Studio’s linchpin engineers and producers, and their music, including Bob Clearmountain, Jason Corsaro, Neil Dorfsman, James Farber and Nile Rodgers, along with studio owner and designer Tony Bongiovi. The panelists will delve into just what it was that created the scene, the sound—and especially, the music—that continues to inspire us today.
