Sonic Reality, eSoundz.com Release New Downloadable Drum Kit Libraries for BFD2

Sound development company Sonic Reality and eSoundz.com, an online shop for music software and sounds, announce the release of two new drum kit expansion libraries for FXPansion’s BFD2 software: EpiK DrumS: Bill Cobham Kit for BFD2 ($99 MSRP) and EpiK DrumS: Bob Siebenberg Kit for BFD2 ($99 MSRP) by Sonic Reality. Users must first own BFD2 or BFD Eco software.

The Bill Cobham Kit is a vintage Fibes clear acrylic kit similar to the drum set Cobham used on albums such as Mahavishnu Orchestra’s Birds of Fire and Cobham’s release Spectrum.

The Bob Siebenberg Kit is a vintage Ludwig kit recorded in the style of Supertramp’s Crime of the Century and Crisis, What Crisis?

Legendary producer/engineer Ken Scott (The Beatles, David Bowie, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Supertramp, Elton John) recorded both drum kits as part of the EpiK DrumS Ken Scott Collection. Sonic Reality collaborated with Scott—who also worked with Terry Bozzio, Woody Woodmansey and Rod Morgenstein—to put together an authentic collection of vintage drum kits from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Sonic Reality states that it will release seven kits from the EpiK DrumS series as individual BFD2 kit libraries in the early part of 2012, with the first two available now.
