Simon HumphriesCambridge, UK (February 16, 2011)–The Chairworks, a residential recording studio in the north of England, recently purchased three more Prism Sound ADA-8XR converters.

Ryan Jarvis, director of The Chairworks, says, “The addition of the one Prism Sound unit made such a huge difference to the sound we were achieving that we had no hesitation in buying three more. It has always been our intention to offer the best recording facilities possible to our customers and if that means investing in the best sounding equipment, then that’s what we will do. We want The Chairworks to be on a par with studios like Abbey Road, and with this latest investment in Prism Sound conversion, we now feel we are achieving this aim.”

Based in Castleford, near Leeds, The Chairworks is equipped with an SSL 4000 G Plus console and a range of outboard equipment. The facility has several recording spaces, including a mammoth 1,250-square-foot live room, coupled with a 500-square-foot control room. It also has residential accommodation for up to 10 people and specializes in mixing and tracking rock and pop bands.

“The Prism Sound ADA-8XR converters offer stunning clarity and are exceptionally well suited to the work we do here,” adds Simon Humphries, chief engineer at The Chairworks. “We are delighted that we can now offer Prism Sound quality across all 16 in/48 out channels.”
