Burbank, CA (August 18, 2026)—Helping spread the word about Nu•Studio and its portable ‘pop-up’ studio offering, Advanced Systems Group and Avid Technology recently teamed up with Nu•Studio at ASG’s Burbank Innovation Center for a demonstration event, featuring Grammy-nominated producer/engineer Dennis “ROC.am” Jones.

The pop-up studio in question is Nu•Studio, a portable kit for assembling a standalone “modular production environment” that can be configured for a variety of A/V projects, such as video post, tracking/overdub, immersive mixing or voiceovers. Because it is a non-permanent structure, the kit is adaptable over time to format changes, different monitor speakers, and other equipment updates.
Delivered on palettes and set up (or removed) in days, Nu•Studio starts with perimeter framing and a center isolation deck, creating a 16W x 20L x 10H-foot room with walls, ceiling, and floor elements. All of the elements have adjustable connection points and conduits for cabling, creating flexibility when accommodating monitor loudspeakers, video monitors, mixing console/controllers and outboard racks.

Nu•Studio founder Chad Franscoviak, a Grammy-winning recording/engineer/producer, explained, “We’ve reimagined the whole studio as a piece of gear and Nu•Studio is an expandable modular system designed to meet the needs of any creative workflow and it’s built for change and ready to move with you.”
Providing original music inside the Nu•Studio set up within ASG’s building was Dennis “ROC.am” Jones. An artist himself, Jones recently completed an immersive mix of jazz great Roy Ayers.
