Mentoring Spotlighted For Student Members at AES Convention

At the upcoming 111th AES Convention (September 21-24, 2001), AESstudent members from around the world will have the opportunity tolearn first-hand about mentoring opportunities in the audioindustry.

On Friday, September 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the “Building YourCareer Via Mentoring” panel, moderated by Keith Hatschek, will discussthe benefits of mentor relationships and practical strategies todevelop a network of industry contacts via mentors. Hatschek ispresident of Keith Hatschek & Associates and author of the recentbook, How to Get a Job in the Music and Recording Industry.

Additionally, during the afternoons of Saturday (September 22) andSunday (September 23), AES student members can participate in aone-on-one mentor session with leading audio professionals from avariety of fields. Student sign-ups for these sessions will be based ona first-come, first-served basis until the available appointments arefilled.
